According to him, he had recently visited the vet where he purchased a list of various medications for an ailing goat that he is rearing.

A photo he uploaded of the receipt shows a lengthy list of medications that totalled up to N316,150.

Man cautions netizens

Sharing the photo on X, he warned those who do not have the financial resources to properly handle and oversee animal rearing not to venture into it.

@bossolamilekan1 said: “Went to get drugs for my goat today and all I can say is if skin is not full, don’t put body 😂😭”

Netizens react to the cost of drugs

Nigerians who viewed the receipts expressed surprise over how costly the price of medications for animals has become.

Some had remarked that the total cost of the medication could sponsor the entire academic training of an undergraduate in some Nigerian institutions. For instance, one netizen, @OBA_SAGE who reacted to the post had said: “Na person school fees from 100l to 400l be this o”

Others, however, expressed surprise that he could spend such huge amount on just a single goat; one @t_maris1 asked in surprise: “Goat abi goats…you mean one goat?”
