The former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development and President of Masters Group Dr Uche Ogah CON recently shocked the enormous crowd in Nkerefi town when he announced the full academic scholarship of 8 poor children in Nkerefi.
Uche Ogah made this promise on Sunday Sept 28 at the Nkerefi Economic Summit 2025 , an event organized by one of the most populous towns in Enugu State with four large autonomous communities.

According to Uche Ogah CON, the children’s education will from today be taken care of from Primary School to the University through the Uche Ogah Foundation.
Dr Uche Ogah further heartily commended the ingenuity of the Nkerefi outstanding son Hon Monday Diamond Ani popularly known as Odoziobodo who served as the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee and championed the high powered Economic Summit. He stated that Monday Diamond Ani and his Team were awesome in organizing such a tremendous and historic event. Bringing such unprecedented crowd together in love and unity.
Dr Uche Ogah also made a donation of 5M to the Nkerefi Project, stressing that Nkerefi is more or less his second home.
This is unexpected humanitarian gesture from Uche Ogah further adds to plethora of multiple children and youths under Dr Uche Ogah Foundation and sponsorship.
Monday Diamond Ani who was highly elated appreciated Dr Uche Ogah on behalf of the good people of Nkerefi for such a tremendous show of compassion on his people and the society at large.
