Big Brother Naija Season 10 finalist, Kola, has shared insights into his friendship with winner Imisi and his first impression of fellow housemate Dede.
Addressing speculations that his closeness with Imisi was a game strategy, Kola clarified that their connection was genuine and developed naturally from heartfelt conversations during their first week in the house.
“Imisi and I started off having conversations about our personal lives the first week. We had moments where we literally cried together,” he recalled.
The reality star revealed that Imisi’s personal story had a profound effect on him, admitting that he broke down during his first diary session after learning about her difficult past.
Kola also shared a light-hearted story about his first interaction with Dede, recalling how he was taken aback when she declined a hug.
“I remember going to the washroom and seeing her, and I was like, ‘Oh, who’s this fine babe?’ I tried to be warm, and she said, ‘I don’t do hugs.’ I’d never heard anyone say that before, so that was interesting,” he said with a laugh.
Though the moment initially made him wonder if he had offended her, Kola said he later realised it was simply part of Dede’s personality.
“At the end of the day, I understood that she’s just not a hugger, and there’s definitely more to her than what meets the eye,” he added.
