Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, has tasked the 232 newly recruited Police Constables posted to the state after graduating from the Police Training School, Minna, to imbibe and act according to the tenets of the Police manuals and standard operating procedures in the state.

The 232 new constables were among the 370 that graduated on Tuesday from the Police Training School, Minna.

They were received on behalf of CP Elleman by DCP Ibrahim Adamu and DCP Aminu Garba at the Police Headquarters, Minna.

During the address, Elleman congratulated and welcomed the constables while appreciating the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission for injecting additional manpower into the workforce of the Command.

“This will boost the capacity of the Command in ensuring a spread of quality Police service across the State,” he noted.

The CP also counselled them to exhibit professionalism and good character in the discharge of their duties.

According to him, “I charge you to imbibe and act according to the tenets of the Police manuals, rule of law, and standard operating procedures whilst exercising optimum discretion where necessary.”

“I also encourage you to learn the practical Police duties in various Divisions and apply the knowledge acquired from the Training School, shun any form of corrupt practices and unprofessional conduct, or risk grave disciplinary sanctions.”

He then advised them to be good ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Force and the nation at large.
