Plastic surgeons expose best-kept beauty secrets behind Emma Stone’s ‘new face’ as star ‘ages backwards’

Emma Stone shocked fans last week when she debuted a striking new look at Paris Fashion Week.

The acclaimed actress, 36, was seated front row at the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2026 show in a knitted cream bodycon dress, but it wasn’t her luxe wardrobe that captured the attention of onlookers.

Indeed, Stone’s stunning face seemed fuller and smoother than usual, leading fans on social media to speculate about her ‘unrecognizable’ appearance.

‘Emma Stone’s new face is crazy,’ commented one person, while another wrote, ‘She went from looking very unique to looking like a wealthy suburbanite from Southern California.’

Others, however, argued that Stone’s new look may simply be down to filters on the photo or professional makeup.

‘People keep commenting on Emma having a new face and I genuinely don’t see any difference except maybe she got some filler and a different makeup artist?’ wrote one user.

But experts with whom the Daily Mail spoke speculated there could be more to Stone’s seemingly changed look than good lighting and her glam team.

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr Jennifer Harrington said that she believes the actress may have used injectables to enhance her look.

‘Is Emma Stone ageing backwards? She has captured the perfect skin tone, texture, and color to complement two of the most captivating eyes in Hollywood,’ Harrington, who has not treated the actress, told the Daily Mail

‘These touches are subtle and what most women want today. I would guess that she has indulged in some neuromodulators like Botox, Dysport or Daxxify to soften wrinkles over the glabellar lines, forehead and around the eyes.

‘Perhaps a touch of Sculptra to soften the smile lines and a hint of filler in the upper and lower lips to add fullness and contour. It is very tastefully done and looks great on her.’

But other experts speculated that there is more to Stone’s changing appearance than some injectables.

Harvard-trained plastic surgeon Dr Yael Halaas, who has also not treated Stone, told the Daily Mail that it ‘looks like’ the actress may have had a brow lift.

‘Treatments like a brow lift, skin tightening, or neuromodulators can open the eyes and refresh the upper face without changing a person’s natural expression,’ said Halaas.

‘The goal for these types of procedures especially for celebrities is always harmony and natural movement, not overcorrection.’

Aesthetic physician Dr Jennifer Armstrong agreed.

While Stone is not a patient, Armstrong speculated that the star may have had multiple procedures, including a brow lift and a fat transfer or fillers under her eyes.

‘What I think is changing her look significantly is the brow placement,’ Armstrong told the Daily Mail.

She believes that another ‘huge difference’ in Stone’s visage is her ‘lateral eye volume,’ which can be done with filler and can be a ‘game changer’ when done correctly.

‘The lateral eye is what is really giving you that youthful natural lifted look,’ she explained, adding that ‘the results are natural and undetectable.’

‘It also makes the eye look very almond shaped by lifting it up. I call it going from sad eye to happy eye.’

It is, she added, one of her ‘favorite’ procedures, which she performs ‘frequently’ in her office with her own technique.

‘Of course, filler can change the face or balance the face. It can be pretty dramatic and life-changing for a lot of people,’ she said.

‘I think she looks gorgeous. The lateral eye is the money spot.

‘I do it all day on my patients. A lot of people won’t perform it, honestly, because they don’t know how.’

Despite the rampant speculation, Stone has never confirmed any cosmetic work or plastic surgery. (Pictured in 2019)

The Daily Mail has contacted Stone’s management for comment.

Despite rampant speculation, Stone has never confirmed any cosmetic work or plastic surgery – though this isn’t the first time her appearance has raised eyebrows.

Earlier this year, a top cosmetic doctor speculated that the Hollywood star had undergone a ‘very well executed’ face lift.

At the time, the actress had sparked chatter among fans after attending the Los Angeles premiere of her new film ‘Eddington.’

Pictures from the event, which took place on June 26, showed the Oscar winner looking slightly different — with many comments claiming that it looked like her upper face was ‘tighter.’

Dr Jonny Betteridge, a London-based aesthetics doctor and founder of the clinic JB Aesthetics, believed she may have had surgery on her upper eyes and a face lift procedure.

In a video posted on TikTok, he asked: ‘Did you notice Emma Stone looking a bit different?

‘At 36, and at the recent Eddington film premiere, her face looked noticeably more defined and facelifted.

‘Her brows sit higher, especially the tails, the eyelids are more visible, and her eyes have an almond like shape.

‘Looking from her four years ago, these changes could be consistent with an upper blepharoplasty and an endoscopic temporal brow lift and mid face lift.

‘They lift and tighten the mid to upper face, like the cheeks, temples, and brows, using small incisions and a tiny camera called an endoscope.’

Stone also sparked speculation around her new look back in June at the 'Eddington' premiere

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure where excess skin is removed from the eyelids, either reducing overhang from the eyebrows or removing fatty deposits and tightening ‘bags’ from under the eyes.

In an upper blepharoplasty, excess skin is cut from the eyelids in order to make the eyes appear larger and more ‘awake.’

For more dramatic results, it is often performed along with a brow lift, where tiny incisions are made in the hairline and the muscles of the upper face are pulled upwards, reducing age-related sagging.

He added that these are ‘minimally invasive procedures’ that are ‘typically done on people in their 30s to 40s who are showing mild to moderate signs of facial aging.’

But he added: ‘Whatever may have been done, it appears to be tasteful, elegant and very well executed.’
