Sevilla forward Jerome Adams Akor has opened up on his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles, DAILY POST reports.
Akor is the only new invitee in Nigeria’s 23-man squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
The 24-year-old earned the invitation on the back of his impressive performance for Spanish club, Sevilla.
The forward emphasised the importance of doing his best for the team.
“I don’t think there is a breaking in, personally. I just have to give what I can for the team. In general, whoever’s playing, we give support. And if you’re called upon by the coach, you do your best,” Akor told the Super Eagles media.
Adams will be looking to make his debut for the Super Eagles against the Crocodiles of Lesotho on Friday.
He has represented Nigeria at the U-20 level.
