  • Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has described himself as the most influential politician in the South East, asserting that his political achievements surpass those of Peter Obi.
  • The former Abia governor highlighted his track record, including past presidential ambitions and national appointments under the PPA.
  • He also challenged Obi to a live television debate to compare their political records.

Former Abia State Governor and Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, has declared himself the most important politician in the South East, while challenging Peter Obi to a live debate.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Kalu said:

“Peter is not my leader. I’m the most important politician from that zone. I have won two states before under the PPA. I have run for president before. My 4.9 million votes are still there since 2007.”

“Arrange in your studio a meeting between me and Peter Obi. Put two of us in the same place.”
