Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has asked that Arne Slot be given time to integrate his new players into the team.
The Dutch manager joined the Reds last season following the departure of Klopp and went on to win the Premier League title.
Following his impressive first season, the new manager spent close to 500 million pounds on bringing in new signings.
However, the team has struggled to hit the ground running and has suffered four defeats in a row in all competitions.

“We had a lot of contact after that; he’s a super good guy,” Klopp stated. “He got the best out of this team, and they became champions in an incredible manner.”
Commenting on the team’s recent struggles following a busy summer transfer window, Klopp defended Slot’s methods and called for patience.
“It’s not about Arne wanting to show the world what he can do; it’s about how to get the best out of this team, and that’s exactly what he did,” he said.

“Now the new guys are there, and they are really good players, but it’s not working out at the moment. Development needs time; nobody can change that. People need time to adapt.”
Slot will be looking to get his team back on track after they lost 2-1 at Anfield to their rivals, Manchester United, at the weekend.
