Music mogul Sean Diddy Combs is reportedly facing one of the darkest moments of his life in prison after sources claimed he survived a near-fatal attack from a fellow inmate.
According to reports, the 55-year-old hip-hop icon allegedly woke up in the middle of the night at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to find another inmate holding a knife to his throat.
The shocking revelation came from Diddy’s longtime friend, Charlucci Finney, who described the situation as both horrifying and surreal. “He woke up with a knife to his throat,” Finney said. “I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came, but I just know that it happened.”
Finney stressed how close the incident came to tragedy, adding, “If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It only takes a second to cut someone’s throat. It could have been fatal.”
He suggested that the attack might have been intended as a warning rather than a direct attempt on Diddy’s life. “Everything is intimidation. But with Sean, it won’t work. Sean is from Harlem,” Finney said, implying that Diddy’s resilience has kept him grounded despite the danger.
The disturbing account follows earlier concerns raised by Diddy’s attorney, Brian Steel, who previously revealed that prison guards had intercepted another inmate armed with a razor blade before anyone was injured.
Finney further explained that the embattled rapper has tried to keep most of his prison experiences private to avoid alarming his family. “Sean has kept a lot of this to himself because he doesn’t want to worry his family,” he said.
He also described the harsh reality of prison life for inmates facing sexual misconduct charges, noting that such accusations often make them targets. “If you’re in jail and you’ve been charged with anything sexual, it’s not a good place to be. The prisoners take it personal. They call it prison justice.”
Meanwhile, speculation that former U.S. President Donald Trump might be considering a pardon for Diddy was quickly dismissed. A White House spokesperson told NBC News, “There is zero truth to the TMZ report.”
For now, Diddy remains in custody, serving a 50-month prison sentence, as public concern over his safety continues to grow amid increasing scrutiny surrounding his case.
