Atalanta manager Ivan Juric has revealed that Ademola Lookman’s poor scoring form has affected the team’s performance.
Juric’s side has struggled in front of goal, having scored just one goal in their last three matches in all competitions.
The Serie A giants have now played two consecutive games without scoring, raising questions about their attacking prowess this season.
They have played three draws in a row, with the recent being a goalless draw against Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League.

What Juric said
A key factor in this downturn is the form of Nigerian international Ademola Lookman. After missing pre-season preparations, the Super Eagles star has yet to recapture the scintillating form that made him a vital part of Atalanta’s attack.

As Lookman struggles to find his rhythm, no player on the team has scored more than two goals this season.
Following goalless draws against Lazio and Slavia Prague, manager Ivan Juric expressed his frustration but urged his players to remain positive.
“It’s a bit of everything, hopefully. In two games, we had fifteen shots on goal of all kinds: headers, shots with the foot, on the counter-attack, from set plays,” the Croatian coach told Tutto Atalanta.

“It’s just one of those times when the ball doesn’t want to go in. On the other hand, I am happy because when a team creates so much, it means it’s working well, both physically and mentally.”
“We have players who frequently get into shooting positions, and that’s a positive sign. We just have to keep believing, because sooner or later, this moment will pass,” he added.
