Sammy West, brother to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, on Monday said he was surprised after receiving an invitation to report to the police in Abuja via WhatsApp.

West shared a screenshot of the purported exchange on his Instagram story showing a message from a detective who identified herself as Oluseyi of the NPF Area Command, Metro No. 30, Nile Street, Maitama, Abuja.

The message invited him to the command for “fact-finding purposes” in an investigation that, it said, listed his name in connection with several offences.

The text read, “Greetings to you, Mr. Sammy Ojeofor, my name is Detective Oluseyi, attached to NPF Area Command Metro no 30 Nile Street, Maitama, Abuja.

“We spoke on your direct line on Friday, 24th of October 2025. Just to remind you of the invitation, we are investigating a case of criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, criminal intimidation, theft and cyber bullying assault, in which your name featured prominently.

“I am by this text message inviting you to come to the office today, being Monday, 27th October 2025, by 3 pm for fact-finding purposes.

“The office address is Nigeria Police Force Area Command, Metro, No. 30 Nile Street, Maitama, Abuja. On your arrival, report to the Area Crime Officer or ask for me. Looking forward to seeing you, pls.”

Reacting to the message, West questioned the manner of the invitation and the list of alleged offences, writing, “Is this how police invite? Is that a charge for me?” He also noted that the detective used the wrong name in the message.

Family Row Follows Viral Video

Sammy’s post comes amid continued public scrutiny after a viral video in which Regina Daniels accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of domestic violence. In the wake of the clip, West publicly accused Nwoko of assaulting his sister and sending thugs to intimidate the family.

In a separate social-media post written in Pidgin, West declared his readiness to defend his sister, saying, “Makachi, e pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister. Let me repeat, anywhere wey man Dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood… Senator Ned Nwoko you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you run commot send thugs. I swear I for burst your jaw.”
