Barcelona are reportedly interested in Victor Osimhen as a striker target for the summer transfer window.
Barcelona have reportedly added Victor Osimhen to their striker wish list for the summer transfer window, as they prepare for a life without Robert Lewandowski.
The 26-year-old striker only recently joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal, signing on for four years. However, many critics have opined that his talents would be better suited to a bigger club. Barcelona could provide that environment, going by recent reports.
Interest in Osimhen
The Blaugrana have been linked with a few strikers in recent weeks, after it became public that they do not intend to renew Robert Lewandowski’s contract.
His agent, Pini Zahavi, lent credence to the report, confirming that they have not held talks with the Blaugrana for a renewal—Lewandowski’s deal expires at the end of the current season.
Unrealistic names like Erling Haaland, aspirational ones like Julian Alvarez and feasible options like Karl-Etta Eyong and Fisnik Asllani have been floated around.

A report from Spanish journalist Gabriel Sans on Mundo Deportivo has added Osimhen’s name to that list. He was interviewed on Radyospor, a Turkish outlet, in which he reported the Blaugrana’s interests in Galatasaray’s prized asset.
“Barcelona needs a very good centre-forward and is looking for one for next season. It’s not guaranteed whether Lewandowski will stay on,” he said. “He’s 37 years old and currently injured, so it’s unknown how he’ll return.
‘From this perspective, Victor Osimhen is a player Barcelona wants. That’s certain, but there have been no meetings, no discussions between the parties, and no negotiations. Osimhen is definitely on Barcelona’s transfer list today, but we need to look at Lewandowski’s situation.
“We don’t know how his future at the club will shape up. Osimhen is all about goals and success. Yes… Barcelona is keeping a close eye on him.”
