MoMo Rwanda, MTN Rwanda‘s fintech arm, has seen its revenue up by 30.2% year-on-year (YoY) to Rwf 109.4 billion for the nine months ended 30 September 2025. This is according to the company’s financial results made available on its official blog page.

MTN Rwanda’s fintech sector recorded significant milestones during the period as active MoMo subscribers increased by 12.2% YoY to 5.8 million from January to September 2025. The result was fueled by an expanding merchant network, which reached 578,000 by the end of the third quarter.

Chantal Kagame, Chief Executive Officer of Mobile Money Rwanda Ltd, noted that MoMo remains at the heart of this growth story, connecting people to opportunity and prosperity. While MTN Rwanda’s customer base surpassed 8 million during the period, Kagame noted that MoMo has been pivotal towards this growth story.

“Our MoMo customer base grew by 634,000, reaching 5.8 million, a strong testament to the trust and adoption Rwandans continue to place in us as they embrace a digital lifestyle,” she said.
