It would be recalled that Somtochukwu Maduagwu tragically passed away on September 29, 2025, after an armed robbery attack at her Abuja residence.

In the video, Primate Elijah Ayodele called for prayers over journalists, warning of potential dangers.
Furthermore, the clergyman urged for reduction of the attacks coming from Arise TV.
“They should reduce that attack that is coming from Arise News. You are there to broadcast the news but not to challenge people”, He firmly stated.
The clergyman emphasized that the platform’s role is to broadcast news, not challenge individuals.
According to him, individuals outside the studio may pose a threat to journalists’ lives, whose identity was not disclosed in the video.

According to Arise TV’s latest report, the robbery attack occurred on Monday around 3 am, and the deceased’s relatives claim she passed away due to delayed medical treatment.
