Zainab told the court she wanted a Khul’i divorce (where a woman returns her dowry) after her husband smashed her phone during a fight.
Tijjani denied damaging the phone but agreed to the divorce.
Judge Malam Mu’awiyya Shehu granted the separation based on Khul’i and dismissed her request for phone repair.
