An Abuja-based businesswoman, Bingel Bamba’am, has gone viral after sharing a letter demanding she pay ₦50,000 for using her television and other services.
Sharing the letter on X (formerly Twitter), she expressed disbelief, writing: “We got a letter today demanding we pay for using TV and other services and this is the craziest thing I have come accross ever. We should pay for watching our own TV with our electricity & satelite subscription? Lmfaoooo.”
Her post quickly sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians, with many sharing similar experiences and criticizing the alleged charge.
Uncle Ebizi, said: “It’s really tough what AMAC and the FCTA are putting businesses through in Wuse 2. They don’t seem to encourage business growth at all.”
