Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene has been one of MAGA’s favorite members of Congress, but that title may be waning.

Greene has split from the bulk of her party, as well as President Donald Trump, on several key issues, including signing a petition to release the Epstein Files earlier this year, which she hasn’t removed her name from despite reported requests to do so from Trump’s allies.

Just this week, Greene was praised by Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer who said on Tuesday, ‘I think this is the first time I’ve said this, but on this issue, Representative Greene said it perfectly, referencing a social media post made by Greene about Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies, more commonly known as Obamacare which are set to expire later this year.

After receiving criticism for making the comments she did about the, Greene responded via a post made on X Wednesday morning where she that noted in a 2023 interview with 60 Minutes that ‘the very reason she ran for Congress was seeing the “House and the Senate completely fail to deliver the agenda that we had all voted for,” citing the failure to repeal Obamacare as a prime example. “They failed us,” she declared.’

Tom Cahill, a former state representative from New Hampshire, was one individual who backed up Greene in the responses to her X post.

‘We’re with you a million percent. Trump is just an elite that loves money and women. He thinks everything is about a deal or a merger. It’s him who turned on the people,’ Cahill wrote.

According to NBC News, Greene was also invited to visit Trump’s Rose Garden last month, an invitation that she declined due to illness, according to her office.

NBC also reported that Trump has called at least two top-ranking Republicans to ask, ‘What’s going on with Marjorie?’ per two GOP sources who commented on the conversations.

Greene has also been critical of America’s support of Israel in their war with Hamas, and disagreed with the Trump Administration’s decision to strike Iran’s nuclear proliferation sites earlier this summer.

During a July appearance on Real America’s Voice (RAV), a network for which her boyfriend, Brian Glenn, is also a White House Correspondent, she said that she wasn’t buying that there was more to the Epstein story.

‘I think the Department of Justice and the FBI has more explaining to do. This is Jeffrey Epstein; this is the most famous pedophile in modern-day history,’ Greene told RAV.

‘And people are absolutely not going to accept just a memo that was written that says there is no client list,’ she noted at the time.

Greene has always positioned herself as a member of Congress who can’t be bought or bullied. As she balances her populist roots with these stances, Greene’s shifting role raises questions about her future influence within the MAGA movement and the broader Republican Party.

She reportedly considered running for the U.S. Senate in Georgia earlier this year but was dissuaded from entering the race by Trump allies. The question of what her political future holds still remains.
