The political atmosphere in Anambra State gained fresh momentum on Sunday, October 26, 2025, as the Accord Party officially endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, ahead of the forthcoming Anambra governorship election.
The endorsement took place at Ukachukwu’s hometown, Osumenyi, in Nnewi South Local Government Area, during a high-profile solidarity visit led by the National Deputy Chairman of Accord, Hon. Igboekwe Dike Innocent.
Hon. Igboekwe disclosed that the visit was not just a show of support but a declaration of partnership between Accord and Prince Ukachukwu’s campaign team. He noted that the Accord delegation comprised a 14-man team representing all 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra State, signifying a strong grassroots backing.
We are not just supporting him; we have come to partner with him, to put in our utmost effort to ensure we take over the seat of government in Agu Awka,” Hon. Igboekwe stated.
Prince Ukachukwu, visibly elated by the show of solidarity, praised the Accord Party for their courage, unity, and strategic political alignment. He described Accord as a fast-rising force in Anambra politics and promised to work closely with the party both during the campaign and in his administration, if elected.
I believe in rewarding every good work. Accord has shown commitment and passion, and I assure you that our partnership will continue beyond the elections into governance,” Ukachukwu said.
Hon. Igboekwe also revealed that the Accord Party is planning a “One Million Man March” across Anambra State in collaboration with affiliate organizations to showcase the party’s growing influence and demonstrate its readiness to play a decisive role in the 2025 polls.
Prince Ukachukwu, an established industrialist and employer of labour, reaffirmed his commitment to job creation, women empowerment, and industrialization, promising to make Anambra State a hub of economic productivity and youth development.
