Two people remain in a life-threatening condition following the stabbing on a train in Huntingdon yesterday evening, with police still at the scene today

A man who was Tasered following the Huntingdon train stabbings repeated two words to police as he was tackled to the ground, a witness has claimed.
Police confirmed this morning that two men – a 32-year-old black British national and a British national of Caribbean descent aged 35 – were arrested following the attack on a high-speed train in Cambridgeshire on Sunday. As many as 11 people needed hospital treatment, with two still in a life-threatening condition today.
While few other details have been released about the attack, an eyewitness has claimed they heard one person tackled by police at the scene repeatedly shout two words.

A taxi driver named Viorel, 42, said he heard a man shout “kill me, kill me, kill me” to police officers as he was wrestled to the ground, MailOnline reports.
He said: “As soon as I see the passenger a few minutes later I then see everybody running out of the station. Then 10 seconds later a man dressed in black holding a huge kitchen knife in his hand runs past my car at 7.47pm.
“The police arrive seconds later and I could hear him shouting ‘kill me, kill me, kill me’ to them. They then Taser him and as soon as he is down they say to him ‘drop your weapon’… I didn’t understand the gravity until after I left the area and saw the huge police presence. I was shocked and then I knew it was bad.”

The two suspects arrested following the attack remain in separate police stations for questioning, British Transport Police (BTP) Superintendent John Loveless said.
He said the attack is believed to have happened shortly after the service departed Peterborough station, and that it is unclear when the two suspects got on the train. Although terrorism has been ruled out, police are still working on uncovering the motive for the attacks.
Officials insist it “would not be appropriate to speculate on the causes of the incident”. The attack has garnered massive national attention, with the Prime Minister and King both releasing statements this weekend.
King Charles III said he is “truly appalled and shocked to hear of the dreadful knife attack”, adding: “Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with all those affected, and their loved ones.”
