Gabon coach to name squad for Super Eagles clash on Thursday
Gabon’s national team coach, Thierry Mouyouma, is set to reveal his 25-man squad this Thursday for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff clash against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
According to reports from the Gabonese Press Agency (AGP), the list is expected to feature key players who have been central to their campaign. Team captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, along with Mario Lemina and Denis Bouanga, are all anticipated to be named in the squad.
Bouanga has been a standout performer for The Panthers, leading their scoring chart in the qualifiers with an impressive eight goals. Aubameyang has also been a significant contributor, finding the net seven times.

The crucial semi-final match against the Super Eagles is scheduled for Thursday, November 13, at the El Barid Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.
The other semi-final will see Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions face off against the Leopards of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The winner of this four-team playoff tournament will advance to the intercontinental playoffs, which are slated to take place in Mexico in March 2026, for a final chance to secure a spot in the World Cup.
