President Bola Tinubu said that the circumstances surrounding the release of kidnapped schoolchildren in Kebbi and Niger states are less important than the fact that they were safely returned, declaring that “the end justifies the means.”

The president made the remark at his Lagos residence on Friday when he hosted the delegates of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), led by its President, Daniel Okoh.

Details of the meeting were provided in a statement by the president’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday.

In November, two separate terror groups kidnapped schoolchildren and teachers in separate attacks in Kebbi and Niger, marking the resurgence of school abduction.

The captives regained freedom after spending several days in captivity. Since their return, Nigerians have called for clarification on the circumstances surrounding their release. There have been allegations of ransom payment as well as prisoner exchange, but none have been confirmed as of the time of this report.

Mr Tinubu, however, believes that Nigerians should not focus on how his administration secured the release of the victims.

He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant, adding that public debate over how the children were freed or what happened to their abductors should be secondary.

“The rhetoric on how the children were released or what happened to the kidnappers is secondary; the end justifies the means,” the president said.

Better security promised

During the meeting, Mr Tinubu assured Nigerians that the ongoing “recalibration” of the nation’s security architecture would soon begin to yield results.

He said his administration is committed to establishing state and community policing as part of efforts to change Nigeria’s security narrative, noting that some of the measures being implemented require time to mature.

“The mood of the nation is peaceful, although our ungoverned spaces are so large. The challenge is real, but we will surmount it,” the president said, while calling on religious leaders to support the government through vigilance, cooperation and prayers.

Mr Tinubu explained that the take-off of community and state police is dependent on the completion of necessary legislative processes by the National Assembly.

He also pointed to challenges in strengthening military capacity, saying military hardware is expensive and not readily available.

According to him, Nigeria has placed orders for four attack helicopters from the United States, which will take time to arrive, while assistance has also been sought from Turkey.

He acknowledged that the delays have affected public perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing insecurity but maintained that the government remains resolute.

Despite the guerrilla tactics employed by terrorists, the president said his administration would not relent in its efforts to return the country to peace and prosperity.

In his remarks, CAN President Mr Okoh, an archbishop, assured Mr Tinubu of the body’s support, describing him as “our President” and pledging the cooperation of the Christian community.

He commended the president’s zeal in addressing the nation’s socio-economic and security challenges and said the church was confident in his leadership.

Mr Okoh also acknowledged the receipt of palliatives extended to CAN during religious festivals and beyond.

While expressing appreciation, the CAN leader appealed to the president to always relate directly with the association through its established structures in all 774 local government areas and requested the release of funds to the Christian Pilgrims’ Board to enable it to carry out its mandate.

Other members of the delegation included CAN Vice President Stephen Baba, President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Francis Oke; representatives of the Organisation of African Instituted Churches, the Catholic and Methodist blocs, and the CAN Chairman in Lagos State, Stephen Adegbite.

A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ambassador Mohammed Bomoi, has resigned from the ruling party, blaming dissatisfaction with its national leadership and alleged marginalization of the North-East region.

Bomoi made this known in a statement dated December 25, 2025, in which he announced his withdrawal from the Tinubu/Shettima political movement and his decision to sever ties with the APC at the national level.

It would be recalled that, he served as Secretary of the APC Special Purpose Committee for the North-East Zone and was an active member of the Tinubu Support Group.

According to him, his resignation followed what he described as the party’s failure to adequately recognise and include him and other loyal members who mobilised support across Borno, Gombe, Bauchi, Adamawa, Taraba and Yobe states.

He also accused the party’s national leadership of exhibiting an aloof and laissez-faire attitude toward the region.

Bomoi said the perceived lack of inclusion had diminished his confidence in the APC and in the political leaders he worked to support.

He further alleged that actions under the current administration indicated that the North was being treated as a “caste,” adding that the social contract between the North and the centre had been deliberately undermined.

“Consequently, I have no regret leaving my position as Secretary of the APC Special Purpose Committee, North-East Zone,” he said.

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) has expressed concern over recent policy decisions by the Federal Government, including proposed tax reforms, warning that such measures could deepen public distrust if issues of fairness, justice and inclusivity are not properly addressed.

The Islamic students’ body made this known in a statement on Saturday during the opening ceremony of its B-Zone Islamic Vacation Course (IVC), held at the proposed permanent site of Al-Ummah University along the Ibadan–Lagos Expressway, Onigari, Ogun State.

Speaking at the event, the National President of the Society, Mallam Tajudeen Mustapha, said Nigeria is currently grappling with multiple challenges, including economic hardship, insecurity, moral decline and leadership deficits. He warned that policies perceived as unjust further erode citizens’ confidence in governance.

Mustapha noted that taxation itself was not the main issue, but rather the growing lack of trust in how public resources are managed.

He expressed concern that reforms, particularly those touching on taxation, raise questions of equity and sovereignty, making citizens increasingly sceptical and disengaged.

The MSSN national leadership stressed that responsible governance is not optional, urging authorities to ensure that policies are anchored on justice, transparency and accountability in order to rebuild public trust.

Delivering a lecture titled “We Are All Responsible,” Dr Taofeek Abdul-Hameed, Imam of the Muslim Community, Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State, and Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, said responsibility applies to all members of society without exception.

Abdul-Hameed explained that social injustice, corruption, insecurity and moral decay persist when individuals and leaders fail to act responsibly, adding that silence in the face of wrongdoing amounts to complicity.

He stressed that accountability in Islam covers actions, words and inactions, noting that parents, leaders, youths and professionals all share responsibility for societal outcomes.

It was about 4 p.m. in Lekki, that familiar hour when the sun still burns but patience has long evaporated.

At the traffic light near Admiralty Way, a white passenger bus, locally known as a korope, revved impatiently as the light flicked green.

Beside it, almost invisible in the visual chaos, a delivery bicycle rider leaned forward, equally eager to beat the gridlock.

The collision that followed was sudden and unsurprising.

The rider sprawled onto the asphalt, bruised but fortunate, helped up by passersby as the bus disappeared into the afternoon traffic, already late for its next stop.

Scenes like this are no longer remarkable in Lagos. Driving in the city has always been a test of temperament, reflexes, and sometimes faith.

Private car owners contend daily with commercial buses that treat traffic laws as optional guidelines, while okada riders often behave as if every road were a racetrack and every junction a suggestion.

Since the ban on motorcycle passenger transport in many parts of the city, these riders have not disappeared.

Instead, they have rebranded. Delivery is now the new hustle, and speed is the currency that keeps it profitable.

The economics are straightforward and unforgiving. The faster you deliver, the more jobs you complete, and the more money you earn. Nairametrics explained this here.

Riders working with major logistics and food delivery platforms can earn between N1,500 and N2,500 per delivery, with some reporting daily earnings north of N25,000.

Bicycle delivery riders, covering shorter distances, earn slightly less but can still make up to N15,000 on a good day.

In a country grappling with high unemployment and underemployment, these figures are understandably attractive. From the rider’s perspective, the risks are simply part of the trade-off.

Yet cities are not meant to function on calculated recklessness. In most modern urban environments, bicycles and motorcycles operate within clearly defined systems.

Dedicated lanes, enforced speed limits, protective gear, and strict penalties create a balance between efficiency and safety.

Riders are visible, regulated, and predictable. Lagos, unfortunately, offers a different reality. Delivery bicycles weave between lanes, ride against traffic, mount sidewalks, and appear suddenly from blind spots.

Many operate on major highways and express roads where they were never intended to be, often without helmets or reflective gear, particularly after dark.

December amplifies everything. “Detty December,” as Lagosians proudly call it, is a season of concerts, weddings, house parties, and endless social gatherings. The city becomes louder, busier, and more impatient.

Consumption spikes, and so does the demand for fast, on-demand delivery. Food, drinks, fashion items, and last-minute purchases must arrive now, not later. Delivery riders respond rationally to this pressure by riding harder, longer, and faster.

The roads, already hostile, become outright dangerous.

What makes this situation more troubling is that much of the risk is structurally encouraged. Some platforms reward riders with higher job allocations if they maintain near-perfect acceptance rates, discouraging breaks and thoughtful refusals.

Others indirectly incentivize dangerous speed by ranking riders on delivery times without sufficiently weighting safety metrics.

During peak periods, some riders work for multiple platforms simultaneously, juggling apps, notifications, and deadlines while navigating some of the most chaotic roads on the continent. This is not resilience; it is systemic risk masquerading as productivity.

To be clear, this is not an argument against delivery work or those who do it. These riders are the arteries of Nigeria’s rapidly growing e-commerce economy, an industry worth billions of dollars and still expanding.

Without them, the promise of convenience collapses at the last mile. Until drones, autonomous vehicles, or other futuristic solutions become practical realities, human riders will remain essential.

The issue is not their presence but the absence of adequate guardrails around their operations.

Responsibility cannot rest solely on government, though regulators certainly have a role to play. Enforcement of existing traffic laws is inconsistent, and infrastructure for non-car road users remains inadequate.

However, the platforms that profit directly from this labor must do more than offer onboarding training and branded jackets.

Continuous monitoring, mandatory safety gear, realistic delivery timelines, enforced rest periods, and insurance coverage should be non-negotiable. Safety should be built into algorithms, not treated as an afterthought.

Riders themselves face disproportionate danger compared to bus drivers or private motorists, simply by virtue of their exposure. One mistake, whether theirs or someone else’s, carries far greater consequences.

Pedestrians, too, are increasingly at risk as sidewalks become unofficial delivery lanes. A city cannot function sustainably when speed consistently trumps safety, and when efficiency is measured only in minutes saved rather than injuries avoided.

Lagos has always thrived on hustle, ingenuity, and controlled chaos. But chaos, when left unchecked, stops being productive. Delivery bikes are not inherently a menace. The system that rewards recklessness is.

If platforms, regulators, and city planners fail to act, collisions like the one in Lekki will remain everyday occurrences, briefly noticed and quickly forgotten. That is not progress. It is negligence moving at full speed.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that four attack helicopters purchased from the United States will arrive in Nigeria soon, as the country intensifies efforts to address worsening insecurity across several regions.

The president disclosed this during a meeting with leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), where he reassured citizens that his administration is taking concrete steps to strengthen the nation’s security architecture.

He said the helicopters form part of ongoing initiatives to upgrade military capacity and improve rapid response to security threats.

Tinubu explained that procuring advanced military hardware takes time, noting that such equipment is not readily available off the shelf.

Despite the delays, he emphasized the federal government’s commitment to equipping the armed forces with modern tools needed to combat terrorism, banditry, and other criminal activities.

The president also referenced broader security reforms, including renewed discussions on state and community policing, which he said would complement federal efforts and enhance grassroots intelligence gathering.

Nigeria continues to face multiple security challenges, including insurgency in the North-East, banditry and kidnappings in the North-West, and communal violence in other regions.

The incoming U.S.-made attack helicopters are expected to bolster aerial surveillance and combat operations.

Tinubu added that his administration is working closely with international partners while exploring multiple strategies aimed at restoring peace and stability nationwide.

Stakeholders have canvassed for increased community service as a panacea for decongesting correctional centres, rehabilitating minor offenders and promoting the restorative justice system. 

Led by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice Community Service officers, the team made sensitisation visits to communities in Ikeja and Lagos Island, among others.

Lagos State Justice Commissioner, Mr. Lawal Pedro (SAN) emphasised the importance of community participation and offender rehabilitation, saying restorative justice was not just a legal principle but a fundamental human right.

According to him, justice must go beyond punishment to include dignity, restoration, accountability and victim empowerment.

This year’s Restorative Justice Week was attended by stakeholders from the judiciary and non-governmental organisations, and funded by the European Union. The sensitisation drive would offer education on the purpose and value of community service as a corrective and developmental tool in modern justice administration, and reinforce the message that justice is not only punitive but also restorative.

The International Institute For Democracy And Electoral Assistance, the Sweden-based organisation which supports democracy in Africa with electoral management training and risk assessments, regretted that  public awareness and understanding of Community Service remained relatively low, especially at the grassroots level.

“Many residents, traditional leaders, and local authorities still perceive imprisonment as the only valid form of punishment… This misconception often results in stigmatisation of offenders, resistance to placements, and weak community collaboration with the justice system,” it stated.

According to statistics, in 2024 the Community Service Unit of Lagos Ministry of Justice supervised 3,765 (3,600 males and 65 female) offenders that had been sentenced to do community service, a figure considered relatively low.

State Coordinator of Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Programme (RoLAC), Mrs. Ajibola Ijimakinwa, said though over 300 cases have been referred to the Restorative Justice Unit, “the numbers are still low, and we look forward to increased referrals from magistrate courts and the police.”

She said, “Before now, justice was mostly about punishment and incarceration. Now, victims and offenders can come together, discuss what happened, the impact of the crime, and reach agreements that ensure the victim is taken care of. We are here to sensitise the public that the Restorative Justice Unit exists in the Ministry of Justice.

“We urge judicial officers to continue reporting minor offences to the unit, ensuring people don’t go to prison unnecessarily. Awareness must increase so that, in one year, we can see more referrals. Even for cases already in the system, custodial centres can create awareness and request restorative justice when the offender appears before the court.”

The Director of  Lagos State Ministry of Justice Community Service Unit, Mrs. Tomi Bodude, highlighted the three major objectives of community service as rehabilitation, restoration and decongestion.

She said, “Community Service is a non-custodial sentencing for minor offenders, where offenders are required to perform unpaid work for the benefit of the community instead of being sent to prison. Offenders are monitored.

“Community Service…helps correct behaviour, allows offenders to give back to society, and reduces overcrowding in our correctional facilities by keeping minor offenders out of custody. It also saves public resources and prevents the exposure of first-time offenders to hardened criminals.”

The Executive Vice Chairman of Lagos Island East LCDA, Hon. Monsurat Oluwatosin Balogun, said community sensitisation program provided an important avenue to educate residents on the purpose and value of community service as a corrective and developmental tool in modern justice administration.

“It reinforced the message that justice is not only punitive but also restorative — aimed at building better citizens and strengthening community bonds,” she said.

The event also witnessed medical outreach offering free health checks, consultations, and treatments.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, said the successfully conducted precision strike operations against two major Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist enclaves was approved by President Bola Tinubu.

“Intelligence confirmed that these locations were being used as assembly and staging grounds by foreign ISIS elements infiltrating Nigeria from the Sahel region, in collaboration with local affiliates, to plan and execute large-scale terrorist attacks within Nigerian territory.

“The precision strike operations were executed between 00:12 hours and 01:30 hours on Friday, December 26, 2025, following explicit approval by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu,

“The operation was carried out under established command and control structures, with the full involvement of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and under the supervision of Ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs, as well as the Chief of Defence Staff.

“The strikes were launched from maritime platforms domiciled in the Gulf of Guinea, after extensive intelligence gathering, operational planning, and reconnaissance.

“A total of 16 GPS-guided precision munitions were deployed using MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial platforms, successfully neutralising the targeted ISIS elements attempting to penetrate Nigeria from the Sahel corridor,” Idris said.

According to him, in the course of the operation, debris from expended munitions fell in Jabo, Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, and in Offa, Kwara State, near the premises of a hotel.

He added that no civilian casualties were recorded in both locations, and relevant authorities promptly secured the affected areas.

“The Federal Government of Nigeria reiterates its unwavering resolve to confront, degrade, and eliminate terrorist threats, particularly those posed by transnational extremist networks seeking to undermine Nigeria’s sovereignty and security.

“Nigeria remains fully aligned with its strategic partners and Friends of Nigeria in executing coordinated actions aimed at ensuring lasting peace, border security, and regional stability.

“The Federal Government assures all Nigerians that it remains firmly in control of the national security architecture and is fully committed to the protection of lives and property.

“Citizens are urged to remain calm and vigilant as decisive actions continue against all terrorist groups threatening the nation,” Idris added.

Four suspected oil thieves have been arrested in Delta State by Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSNL) and handed over to the Inter-Agency Task Force as part of intensified efforts to curb crude oil theft and economic sabotage in the Niger Delta.

The suspects were apprehended following the interception of a vessel, MT Thor, and are currently under investigation over alleged involvement in illegal crude oil dealings.

The arrests were formally announced during the handover of the suspects and the vessel at Koko Port, Delta State, by TSSNL, one of the security firms engaged by the Federal Government to provide pipeline surveillance and protection services.

Speaking at the handover, Tantita’s Executive Director of Operations, Captain Warredi Enisouh, said the suspects were arrested aboard MT Thor with an unspecified quantity of petroleum products believed to have been illegally sourced.

A situation report issued by the Head of Investigation, Special Prosecution Team of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Petroleum Product Theft, CSP Omar Sini, disclosed that the vessel was intercepted on December 15, 2025, along the Kokpo–Excravos axis of Delta State.

According to the report, Tantita alerted the task force after intercepting the vessel, which was allegedly laden with crude oil obtained through illicit means.

Investigators further alleged that MT Thor was being escorted by personnel of the Police Marine Unit, Delta State, who reportedly claimed they were acting on directives from the Force Intelligence Department, Abuja.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the vessel, now classified as an exhibit in an ongoing criminal investigation, is linked to a jetty operated by Ebenco Global Services Limited.

Authorities said documents and correspondence relating to the jetty had been obtained and were currently under review.

The owner and promoter of the jetty was contacted by investigators and reportedly submitted additional documents, including court orders, which are also being analysed as part of the investigation.

Providing further details, CSP Sini said that on December 16, 2025, a joint investigation team led by himself and Captain Enisouh conducted a joint inspection visit in Koko.

According to him, the team first met at Tantita’s corporate headquarters in Warri for a briefing attended by the jetty owner, before proceeding to Koko to obtain samples from MT Thor.

However, the vessel had not arrived at the jetty, having been towed from an earlier location by security operatives.

While awaiting its arrival, the joint team inspected other containers suspected to be carrying crude oil within the premises of Ebenco Global Links Limited, where samples were taken from a storage barge.

MT Thor eventually berthed at about 8:30 p.m. on December 16, prompting the suspension of sampling and related procedures until the following day.

On December 17, 2025, investigators returned to the jetty in the company of officials of the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, who obtained samples of the petroleum product for laboratory analysis and other investigative formalities.

CSP Sini reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to dismantling crude oil theft networks in the Niger Delta, assuring that the outcome of the investigation would determine the next line of action in accordance with the law.

He noted that the Inter-Agency Task Force commenced operations in March at a time when Nigeria’s crude oil production stood at about 1.4 million barrels per day, adding that sustained enforcement efforts have helped increase output to approximately 1.8 million barrels per day.

A financial analyst, Kalu Aja, has said that widespread opposition to the newly introduced tax laws stems from Nigerians’ deep-seated lack of trust in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ability to spend public funds responsibly.

Aja made the assertion in a statement posted on his 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, amid growing controversy surrounding the proposed tax reforms.

Reacting to public backlash against the new tax laws, Aja argued that Nigerians are not opposed to taxation itself but are worried about how their money would be managed by government officials.

“The issue is trust. Nigerians don’t trust the government with the power to spend their taxes properly on their behalf,” he wrote.

According to him, years of poor governance and lack of accountability have made citizens sceptical of any attempt to impose new financial burdens.

The analyst said the lavish lifestyles of political office holders have further deepened public resentment and suspicion over the tax reforms.

He lamented that successive Nigerian governments have failed to demonstrate that tax revenues translate into improved living conditions for citizens.

“The taxes Nigerians have already paid, how were they spent?” Aja queried.

Aja also criticised what he described as a lack of transparency in the handling of the tax laws, alleging that even lawmakers and the Presidency do not appear to be working with a single, verifiable document.

“Between the National Assembly and the Presidency, we don’t even have a credible copy of the tax bill, yet you expect Nigerians to pay these taxes?” he said.

He added that the government must embrace openness if it wants citizens to accept higher tax obligations.

“You want Western-style taxes? Be transparent on taxes like the West,” he wrote.

Naija News reports that despite the public outcry, the Chairman of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, Taiwo Oyedele, insisted on Friday that the implementation of the new tax laws would commence on January 1, 2026.

Oyedele’s position has continued to attract criticism from various quarters, including lawmakers and policy experts.

Meanwhile, a member of the House of Representatives, Abdulsamman Dasuki, has raised concerns over alleged alterations in the country’s tax laws, further fuelling the debate.

Dasuki’s allegations have reignited controversy around the reforms, prompting renewed scrutiny of the legislative process.

In a fresh development on Friday, the National Assembly ordered that the tax laws be re-gazetted, a move seen as an attempt to address the growing concerns over authenticity and transparency.

A private institution, the Ikirun College of Health Technology, Ikirun, Osun State, has announced vacancies for qualified academic staff in two of its key departments.

The institution, which is approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to operate as a private College of Health Technology, made this known in a statement issued by the Office of the Registrar, Abdullah Adeniyi, and dated Saturday, December 27, 2025.

According to the statement, applications are invited for the position of Senior Lecturer in the Community Health Technology Department and the Public Health Technology Department.

The College stated that candidates seeking appointment to the positions must possess a good honours degree in the relevant disciplines, in addition to a master’s degree obtained from a recognised institution of higher learning.

Applicants are also expected to have at least seven years of teaching and/or research experience in a tertiary institution, while those relying on a master’s degree must have a minimum of five years’ post-qualification teaching experience.

It was further disclosed that salaries and allowances attached to the positions are as approved by the Governing Council of the college.

More explosive devices have been discovered in a different location from where the first bomb fell in Jabo town, Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State, following the US airstrike last night.

This happened following the US airstrike in Jabo. Another object resembling an explosive device was discovered in a different location, about half a kilometre away from the initial site.

Community sources stated that upon excavation, a metal object similar to the previous explosive was spotted, and it was recommended that digging be halted due to suspicions that it might be an unexploded ordnance.

We urge the public to avoid approaching the area, refrain from inspecting or excavating anything, and leave the site entirely until security personnel with expertise in handling such matters arrive and clear the area.

“Authorities have urged the public to stay away from the area until the excavation of the explosive devices is completed.

The Nigerian police have deployed a team of explosives experts to Jabo town in the State to investigate objects resembling bombs that were discovered buried in the ground near the site of the US airstrikes.

Security personnel have already cordoned off the area and are tightening security in the affected areas.

Meanwhile, the U.S. strikes hit Lakurawa terrorist camps in Tangaza, forcing many terrorists to flee.

The airstrikes reportedly targeted a Lakurawa terrorist camp in Tandami village, Tangaza Local Government Area, bordering Illela LGA, resulting in the deaths of several terrorists, according to local residents.

According to reports, authorities have issued a warning to neighbouring states of Sokoto, alerting them that the Lakurawa group members may have fled the area after recent airstrikes and advising them to take necessary precautions to protect their states.

The Police Command in Anambra has apprehended a robbery suspect who allegedly attempted to snatch a victim’s phone and valuables at gunpoint, but was overpowered due to timely intervention by bystanders.

SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the state Public Relations Officer, disclosed in Awka on Saturday that the incident occurred in Awka, highlighting the prompt action by operatives of the Central Police Station.

“Following the victim’s brave resistance and timely police intervention on Dec. 25, Nicholas Nweke, suspected armed robber, was arrested.

“Authorities recovered a pump-action rifle, five cartridges, one mobile phone, and N1,200 cash,” Ikenga confirmed.

He said that at the scene, police met the victim struggling with the suspect over the firearm, adding that with officers’ assistance, the suspect was disarmed and taken into custody without further escalation.

Ikenga said preliminary investigations revealed the suspect approached the victim, demanding his phone and other valuables.

He said when the victim refused, the suspect allegedly fired shots, injuring two unsuspecting passersby nearby.

He said the injured passersby were immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where they were reportedly stable and responding positively to treatment after sustaining minor injuries during the incident.

Ikenga confirmed that the case had been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, in Awka for discreet investigation, ensuring a thorough probe into the robbery attempt.
